Happy #30, Meet Rebel!

Stephen turned the BIG 30 today! If you were to ask Caroline what Daddy wants for his birthday, she would say "duck dog". And well... his wish came true! The pup is already off at training and will be there for some time. I might be a little crazy for agreeing to a third dog. He will be a hunting dog but also a pet when it is at home. We decided to name him Rebel and call him "Reb". We thought it was kind of fitting since we have Dixie. Stephen went to Louisiana last weekend to see it, so here are some pictures of the new little guy!

I find this picture pretty funny. We took Caroline to a jump house on Sunday, and Stephen thought he should try out the hurricane simulator. If you are thinking about wasting spending money on this, save your $2! Ha!

Finishing Off Spring Break

I know I said this last time, but this week seriously has been one of the best. Not having a schedule has been wonderful! We have enjoyed our long mornings at home just the two of us. On Thursday, we took a day trip to Tulsa with friends. It felt so good to be back over there. I miss the town, but I don't miss doing everyday life there. It was nice to just go visit! I am going to plan another trip soon because I want to take Caroline to the zoo!! And then yesterday, we met some friends at a local bounce house. Caroline is at such a fun age. Each time we do these outings with friends, they are more fun each time. She is getting to the point where she will actually play and not want me to hold her the whole time. After we left, she kept saying "I play hard" and that she did! She was loving the slides today!

Happy Days

Caroline and I have had such a wonderful spring break so far, and we are only halfway through with it! We have had nothing on our agenda this week, and I must say it has been nice. We have stayed home and in our pajamas until 10 o'clock two of the days which we never do! We are normally up and out of the house by 9am most days.

On Monday we went grocery shopping and came home with these. I have already eaten all of the pink ones so now I won't be tempted anymore. Ha!

I pulled all of her old clothes out of the attic to go through some of them and try on some things from last summer to see what fit. She wanted to wear these shorts from last year. We we went to check the mail, and she liked being outside in the cold in shorts! What is wrong with this girl?!

I ordered her a new backpack for school and just to carry her stuff in. I love it and it is the perfect size for her. She is pretty excited about it too!

Happy girl this morning {yes, we are still wearing Christmas pajamas}

I was so excited to get this package today! I had some shirts and dresses monogrammed for Caroline for this summer. I love how they turned out!!

Nails!!!

When Caroline got home from "fishing" the other day, her monthly Citrus Lane box had been delivered. This month had a little nail kit with two fingernail polishes. Her daddy has told me she can't have her nails painted until she was older. Being the nail lover that I am, I just kept my mouth shut. When she saw the polish in her box, all she had to do was a little sweet talking, and her daddy gave in. Ha! To be honest, I was really excited too!! I think she loved it, and she might like having her nails done as much as her mommy. =)

The polish came off during bath time, so we had to repaint them BEFORE bedtime. She was actually really good at sitting still until they dried. It was so cute!

Weekend Fun

We had a good weekend, and I'll just say it ended much better than it started! I went to the doctor on Friday, and she told me I had strep throat and an ear infection. After a couple doses of antibiotic and steroids, I felt much better! Caroline spent a lot of time with Daddy while I stayed home and rested.

I watched three movies which NEVER happens! I'm not a movie person, but this weekend I was. I just LOVE that last dance in Dirty Dancing, so much that I watch it over and over and over.
Caroline and Stephen went out to my parents house for the day Saturday. They did some fishing, and little lady even held the fish!
I just had to take a picture of this. We've gotten a little Subscribe and Save happy on Amazon. Here's some of my stash!
Caroline loves playing with the 3-D glasses, so it called for a family picture.
We finished off Sunday night with some ice cream, and she had to make sure she got every.last.bite!

Dress-Up Closet

Back in January, Caroline and I went over to some friends house for a little play date. Their grandfather had built them the cutest little dress-up closet! Caroline got a bunch of dress-up clothes {all the ones in the pictures} for Christmas, and we never really had anywhere to put them. My friend told me that she had found the design online. So I looked it up, and Stephen got to building. On the website, it shows pictures that people have built and their variation of it. We decided to add the shelf on the top to have more storage space. We also found the cute rhinestone hooks at Home Depot. We also used Annie Sloan chalk paint and wax. The link is below for the design. =) I love how it turned out and so does Caroline!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman??

Well of course, it was almost 70 on Saturday, and then it snowed on Sunday. Cold, warm, cold, warm seems to be the trend in our neck of the woods these days! We went to church that morning, and the wet snow had started by the time we got out. So after Caroline took a nap, Daddy took her outside to build her first snowman. I just can't get over how much this girl likes the snow!!!
