November Pictures - Part 2

Oh, to be three... =)

We took her to Candy Craze after she got her flu mist. Her favorite was the candy necklace.

She became WAY more interested in the bubble wrap than actually hanging the ornaments on the tree

Christmas Dance Recital

Caroline had her holiday dance recital last week. She did so good! She even wanted to stay on stage after her class was finished and did a short little solo dance. HAHA. She loves dance and I am so thankful for this ministry that our church offers! I love to think back on her holiday recital last year. Boy, this year was the complete opposite. Maybe she won't have stage fright like her mommy. Ha! =)

Thanksgiving Feast

Caroline's school had a Thanksgiving feast where the parents could come to their class, watch them sing a couple songs, and have lunch with them! I love seeing her with all her little friends. They made pilgrim hats before the feast, but of course, Caroline didn't want to wear hers. Ha!

Sweet girl having a lazy day at home

Being silly in the baby bed

She is really into cutting with scissors. I drew the line and had her cut it.

Rebekah and Elizabeth came up for the NWA Boutique Show. We took these crazy girls with us shopping! They love being together!

Eating pizza at Landon's birthday party

We had a mommy/daughter date to Starbucks with Katie Lane and Rebecca. Caroline loved the kids hot chocolate.

This chair was in my bedroom growing up and in my mom's. It has been at my Granny's house, and since we moved her, we had it recovered to put it Caroline's room. She loves it!

Weekend with Rebel

This past weekend, Rebel came to visit. We had so much fun with him, and it made us very excited for when he comes home from training full time! But we will have to patiently wait another year. Ha! He is 10 months old and so well-behaved! I am very thankful that he is in training, and we don't have to go through the puppy stage with him!! He was able to meet our other two dogs, Max and Dixie. And they all got along great! Stephen was in heaven all weekend having him home!

Baked Potato Soup

Trisha Yearwood's Baked Potato Soup

Ingredients:
4 large baking potatoes
6 bacon slices
2/3 cup (1-1/3 sticks) butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
6 cups milk
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
2 green onions, finely chopped
5 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
8 ounces sour cream

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400° F.
Wash the potatoes and prick them several times with a fork. Wrap them individually in foil, and bake them for 1 hour, or until they are soft when squeezed. Let the potatoes cool slightly.

While the potatoes bake, cook the bacon in a small skillet. Drain the bacon on paper towels and, when cool enough to handle, crumble it into small pieces. Set aside.

In a large, heavy saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the flour, stirring constantly for 1 minute until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 to 10 minutes, until the mixture is thick and bubbling. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise, and scoop the flesh into the thickened milk mixture. Add the salt, pepper, green onions, reserved bacon, and Cheddar. Cook over low heat just until heated through. Stir in the sour cream and serve.

Halloween 2014

We had a great Halloween! Caroline had so much fun trick-or-treating. We decided to go with our friends, who are now our neighbors, the Blounts. It was fun to actually just stay in our neighborhood this year. I fixed us soup and chili for dinner, then we trick-or-treated, and then came home to eat candy for dessert! It was a very cold, but fun evening!
