This might be the only reason we survive year 3. Some days it definitely is worse than year 2.
But she can sure turn from Miss Sassy Attitude to this in a second!

Saturday Fun

One of Stephen's favorite things to do is go to breakfast on Saturdays. We either go get donuts or go to his new favorite diner, Lucy's. Caroline loves going to get donuts. I'm not sure if she really loves donuts or if she only likes them because they have sprinkles. Ha! Hence, the reason she ate all the sprinkles off before eating the donut. =)

Saturday night, our friends Davin and Stacy rented a box at the Naturals game. It was so fun to have a kid free night out with friends! The girls hung out inside while the guys sat outside and watched the game.

And since there were no kids, the girls had to get their picture with Strike!

Playdate With Annabel

Annabel is one of Caroline's best friends. Between summertime and Annabel getting a new baby brother, we haven't hung out with them a lot. So we had planned to meet for lunch, but with baby brother and nap times we decided it would be much easier for me to just take her for the morning. We met for breakfast at Chick-Fil-A then started our playdate. We headed to the gym so the girls could swim, then we came back home for them to play and eat lunch. I have decided they didn't have nearly enough time to play, so we WILL be doing it again! Love these sweet girls, and love watching them grow-up together!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Neiman Marcus Bar

These are Amazing!! We were having family over for dinner, so I was looking for a quick dessert. Boy, am I glad I found these

Ingredients:
1 box of yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 stick melted butter
1 box of powdered sugar
8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease one 9x13 inch pan. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 2 eggs and melted butter. Spread in bottom of pan to form your "crust" layer.
In a second bowl, beat with electric mixer, powdered sugar, 2 more eggs, cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Next, stir in your chocolate chips.
Spread cream cheese mixture on top of crust mixture.
Bake 35-40 minutes until edges are brown and center set (it will still be slightly wobbly in the middle).
Cool on counter 30 minutes, then refrigerate 2 hours up to 2 days.
Slice into bars and serve.

Cole's Birthday

Cole turned two, so we had to help him celebrate Bubble Guppie style. He had a swimming party at my uncle and aunt's house. He is one of the cutest little boys, and he LOVES Caroline. Not to mention they could pass for brother and sister easily!

Mandi's Baby Shower

My good friend Mandi had her first baby shower this past weekend in Fort Smith. We were already going to be in Fort Smith, so I was able to go. My cousin was helping host it, so since Rebekah was there I decided to take Caroline. She loved it! One of the many reasons I love having a girl so we can do fun girly things together! We can't wait to meet baby Faith in October!

Weekend with Oma and Opa

Caroline spent a couple days with Oma and Opa, and like always, she had a blast! They took her to ride the ferris wheel downtown and to the local nature center. She said her favorite thing were the snakes. Crazy girl!

Cousins and Swimming

This week has been full of cousin time and pool time!

On Tuesday, my mom and I ran some errands. We took Henry and Caroline to the Farmer's Market, Hobby Lobby, and then to Rick's Bakery for lunch. I just love watching these two grow up together! It is so fun listening to their little conversations.
On Wednesday, I took Henry and Caroline swimming with our friends Payton and Parker. They had so much fun! This was the first time I didn't get in the pool with them. It was so relaxing. Ha!

Yesterday, I took Caroline to Fort Smith so she could spend the weekend with Oma and Opa, but before I dropped her off, we had a cousin swim-date! They had so much fun!!

Weekend Fun

We had such a wonderful weekend. We spent lots of quality time together, just the three of us. First thing Saturday morning, we headed out to War Eagle Mill for breakfast. We took the scenic route coming home, and I think it took us probably 30-45 minutes longer. Ha! Definitely went on roads I'd never been on before. THEN, when we got home we decided to move Caroline to her big girl bed. We hadn't planned on it or really even talked about when we were planning on doing it, but it happened on Saturday. We have/had two guest rooms, so we decided that rather than buying a full size mattress to convert her crib that we would just move her to one of the queen sized guest beds. She was so excited about it, thankfully! She has been sleeping great and hasn't climbed out of it yet. She loves to just lay in it and say how "cozy" it is.

I love how everything turned out. I think my favorite part is the window treatments. Since she was born, we have had the black-out paper {ya know, the stuff that looks like trash bags, literally} hanging. So recently, I have been on the hunt for something that matches the decor but still does the job of the "black paper". We found some black-out drapes at JCPenny, and we also bought a black-out slider shade at Lowe's. I can't believe our baby is in a big girl bed!!
