SEPTEMBER PICTURES PART II

Having fun with Katie Lane and Matthew at Briggs and Bryant's birthday party

When sister isn't around, you try to ride her bike. I guess that is what little brothers are for.

We finally got her "Caroline" doll out of the box. Aunt Ashley gave her this doll for her second birthday.

First time to sleep in sponge rollers.

She was not impressed with the results. LOL!

At the doctor

All ready for school

Caroline and Henry at their praise party. So much fun being in class together this year.

SEPTEMBER PICTURES PART I

Sweet cuddles

Our kitchen table is constantly covered. This girl sits at the table and "crafts and colors" all.the.time!

Mommy and Caroline ready for church

Caroline and Kaylor outside playing at church

This boy loves to play with balls. I think it was his first word!

Daddy and Will

Sitting on the porch with the fall decorations

I bought this sign at Hobby Lobby and had it decorated for our yard.

Mommy and Will had a playdate at Barnes and Noble. He loved the train table until...

he discovered the columns. Then he just kept hitting them! Ha!

My boy helping me in the flower beds

One of his favorite things to do is "drive" Daddy's truck

I never believed them when they said he would sleep on a nap mat. =))

Caroline and Annabel waiting for dance to start

When you take the kids to the toy store to buy their friend's birthday presents, you have to buy them something for being good. This is what Caroline picked. HAHA!

CALIFORNIA PART II

Our Second Day in Napa...
We toured the Caves at Soda Canyon which is made up of four different wineries. We specifically had a tasting with Buoncristiani wines. It was probably the most unique of what we visited. The cave part was really cool.

After that, we headed to lunch up in Saint Helena at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen.

After lunch, we headed to Melka. This couple has become pretty close with my brother, cousin, and uncle. This was fun because I have heard them talk about their wines pretty much everytime we are all together.

After Melka, we headed to William Cole. This was a pretty small winery that is ran by a father and son. The dad is Bill, and the son is Cole. They were actually in the process of bottling and packaging some wine when we arrived so we were able to actually see them working, and Bill and Cole were right in the middle of it.

After this, we headed to have drinks with Gabrielle and her husband Wayne. They have both become good friends with some of our family through the years. Their estate was absolutely breathtaking! It was such a fun evening.

After we finished with them, we decided we were ready for some pizza and coke!
The next morning we headed back into San Francisco. We took a double decker bus tour that afternoon, and then one more fun dinner to celebrate our last night.
We had a great time and then ended our trip with a three hour delay in the airport. We were ready to get home to see our babies!

CALIFORNIA PART I

We just got back from a few day getaway with my brother to go visit my grandpa and Lynn in San Francisco. We spent the first night in San Fran and then headed up to Napa Valley and spent the next two nights in Yountville before returning to San Fran to head back home. It was a great get away- Stephen and I both agreed that when we do it again we want to skip the city and head straight to the valley and relax! Napa was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing which is how I like my vacations these days. We got there Wednesday morning, checked into our hotel, and then headed to our first wine tasting. We did three the first day and four the second day. We were "wined" out by the end of our trip. Ha! Here are the pictures:

I did not do very good documenting San Fran. After we arrived, we headed to lunch down at Fisherman's Wharf then took the ferry over to Sausalito. Then that evening, we went to dinner at Boulevard. It was probably our favorite meal of the trip. It was so good.

Our First Day in Napa...
Here we are headed out to our first tasting.

Arrived at Oakville Ranch. This was Sheila- the manager-- she gave us a tour of the vineyards.

Absolutely beautiful...

We sat around the pool for our tasting while enjoying the breathtaking views of the valley.

After Oakville ranch, we headed to Mustards grill for lunch. It was delicious!

After lunch, we headed to Bell Winery. It was a quick visit, but the guys enjoyed the red wines. After that we headed back to the hotel for some spa time before going to K. Laz Collection for a tasting. It was a fun tasting because it was a collection of wines from different places rather than just a particular winery.

The big event of the trip was our dinner at The French Laundry. It was an incredible experience. It was a nine course meal that took 3 HOURS! Pretty sure it was the longest meal I have ever experienced. After dinner, we were able to go back into the kitchen. It was so entertaining!

to be continued...
