Rebekah's First Birthday

Back in March, most of our family went to Oklahoma City to celebrate Rebekah's first birthday. There are many reasons this little girl is so special to me....She is super cute, we share the same birthday, and she is Stephen and I's goddaughter. Elizabeth planned the cutest birthday for her with so much detail.

This is Ashley, Lou Ann (Rebekah's other grandma), my Aunt Kathy (Rebekah's Nana), Elizabeth (Rebekah's mom), Me, and my Mom all before the party.

Baby Gender Reveal Party

Stephen and I decided to go to some ultrasound place a week before we were to have the big ultrasound. We decided we would do this and not tell our family so that we could plan a lunch party after the official ultrasound (praying that the outcome would be the same, hah). My sister-in-law, Ashley, planned the little party. We decorated with pink and blue. Then at each seat we put a goody bag, and inside the goody bags were all pink items. We put pink "pacifiers" (aka ring pops), pink candy, pink pencils, and then I had little pink teddy bear cookies made that said Caroline.

And my favorite thing from the party was the gift that John and Ashley got for Caroline. Her first little "piggy" bank. I know she is going to love it!

I'm Pregnant!

Stephen and I found out I was pregnant on December 9, 2011. Because of the holidays, we didn't have our first ultrasound until January 3rd. This is the first ultrasound. Everything looked perfect and the baby had a strong heartbeat with an estimated due date of August 6th.
We had the big 20-week ultrasound on March 14th to find out if we were having a girl or a boy. All of our family came over for lunch on the 14th to celebrate my birthday and to find out what we were having. My sister in law helped me plan the perfect reveal party. Below are pictures from our 20 week ultrasound.

Super cute profile!

Cute little foot! And it's a GIRL!!

Stephen and I decided to name her Caroline Louise. She will be named after her great-great-grandmother, Caroline which is Stephen's great-grandmother from Germany. Her middle name is after my grandmother and Stephen's mother who both share the name Louise.

Wedding

Stephen and I got married on November 21, 2009 in our hometown at the church I grew up in. Our wedding day was one of the greatest days of my life, and it was everything I could have ever wanted. There are so many things that I love about our wedding day, and one of the most special things was the cross in our ceremony. What makes the cross in our wedding so special is that Stephen built it just for our wedding. This is something that I will always remember. Below are some pictures from our special day.

Welcome to our blog!

Well, I've decided to join the "blog" world! Amy from Designer Blogs did the blog design and I LOVE it! The main reason for starting this blog is to keep our family in Arkansas more up-to-date on our life through pictures once our little girl, Caroline joins us in August. I wanted the first blog to catch some people up and remind some of the "major" events that took place up to two years ago. Wow, can't believe it has been that long since we go engaged, and then almost a year and half since we got married!

Stephen and I were engaged on December 18, 2008. I had taken a "dream" trip to New York City with my step grandma. I had been to New York City with her numerous times but never during the holiday season. I had just finished finals and headed to Tulsa where we would fly out the next morning. We flew up on a Thursday, and this trip was different than all of our trips together because Lynn had nothing really planned (which is totally not like her). Normally our trips are planned out to the hour with our days completely full. We just shopped around on Thursday and then Friday morning she let me sleep in and take my time getting ready. We spent the rest of the day just shopping around some more and seeing all the holiday sights. That evening around 5pm, she made sure that we were right by the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. And all of sudden, she says come here there is someone over here you are going to WANT to see! I just kept going along with everything because I had NO IDEA that Stephen would be the one by the tree that I would WANT to see! Well once I saw him, I didn't know what to think because it was such a surprise to see him there! So Stephen proposed to me in front of the tree at Rockefeller Center and gave me the most beautiful ring (which happened to be the one I had picked out with my mom, but didn't know Stephen knew which one I wanted). After he proposed, he informed me that my mom, dad, brother, Ashley (who is now my sister in law), and other grandmother had all flown up to NYC with him to be a part of the occassion.

After the proposal and taking pictures, we had a fabulous dinner at the famous Four Seasons restaurant.
