Nine Month Doctors Appointment

We had a very good appointment today with Caroline's doctor. She was very pleased with her growth, etc. She did give us a few things to change/pointers though. I was prepared for her to tell me this, but she said it is time to drop a {bottle feeding} and time for more solids. Caroline isn't too crazy for solids which is one reason I have dreaded the schedule change, and I also didn't want to change anything because she is so happy with the way things are now! Her doctor has encouraged us to start giving her more table food including things we are eating. This is all very exciting but also makes me realize how fast she is growing up!! On the growth sheet that they give us at each "well-child" check-up, it said that she should be weaned from the bottle by 12 months!!!! We'll see if that happens ;). Another thing her doctor suggested was reading at bedtime. We read during the day, but we have never fit it in her bedtime routine. Her doctor recommends bedtime because once we drop the night time bottle, reading will become the vice that soothes her to sleep. So we will start this in the near future too ;). Overall, we had a great doctor's appoint with no shots, thankfully! We are so thankful for a happy, sweet, and healthy little girl! Here are her stats from this appointment...

Length: 28.25inches (74%)
Weight: 20lbs6oz (83%)
Head: 45.6cm (89%)

Nine Months

I cannot believe she will be one year old in only three months! I honestly can't believe how fast she is growing up and changing. Her little personality is really starting to show, and I feel like she is really starting to grow out of the "baby" stage.

Weighs 20lbs6ozs.
Wearing size 3 diapers
Drinks 5 bottles a day {all breastmilk}
Eating 1-2 solids a day {1 veggie; 1 fruit}
 Two bottom teeth; and the top two are about to pop through
Starting to use a sippy cup and she does pretty good with it
Two naps a day; about 45min-1hour in the morning and about 2 hour afternoon nap
Wearing 9-12 month clothes
Sleeps from 8:45pm-between 8am-8:30am
She has started pulling up
Still loves bathtime {that is Daddy/Caroline time}
Starting to be A LITTLE more active; she's still very relaxed and laid back
Definitely becoming more vocal; and starting to babble
LOVES to blow bubbles {I think her Opa taught her this}
Still a very happy baby; smiles and laughs a lot
Starting to have some stranger anxiety; she will stare you down!
She has started crying when other babies "talk loudly", scream, or cry
She is now going two days a week to Mother's Day Out
Oma gave us an old walker and she has learned to go backwards but now forward yet

What A Weekend

Wow, we had another long, busy weekend in Arkansas! We had a lot of work to do so Caroline and I headed over to the lake on Thursday. A couple of our good friends got engaged this weekend, and we were able to be a part of it by helping with the proposal as well as throwing a surprise {well a surprise for the bride-to-be} party for them. Ashley and I spent Friday and part of Saturday getting ready for the weekend of events. The proposal took place on Saturday at noon, so we had to run errands to get decorations in line for the proposal as well as the party that night. Below are some pictures of the party decorations and the lovely couple!

Ashley did a fabulous job on the flowers and the chocolate covered strawberries! Shelby Lynn's did the cake; they definitely didn't disappoint!.. We also had a banner made for when they arrived at the party. Then, my friend Lindsay and I went in together and had a sign made by Cross My Art for Josh and Mandi

Other than the proposal and party, we had a pretty relaxing weekend at the lake which consisted of a down pour on Sunday morning. I also had a baby shower to attend for another one of my friends Heather, who is expecting a baby girl in June!

We decided to give Caroline and Henry a bath together. I don't think they really noticed each other.

On Monday, Caroline and I headed to Fort Smith. We stayed with Oma and Opa. The original plan was to go to town for my best friend from high school's baby shower. I ended up not being able to make it to the shower, but we did get to spend some time with Lacy. We met for lunch and then she came back to the house to see Caroline. We do not get to see each other enough, so it was nice to spend some time with her! We can't wait for baby Asher to get here!

Our Easter

We had a great first Easter with Caroline! It was a busy one as usual that consisted of traveling to Arkansas. We made it a long weekend by heading to the lake on Thursday then we made a day trip to Fort Smith on Saturday to visit Caroline's cousins that were in town from Washington DC. We hadn't seen them since October! We had a nice visit and a delicious meal, and we loved being able to see Andrew John and Ella Grace. After spending the day in Fort Smith, we headed back up to the lake for another delicious Easter meal with my family. Here are some pictures from Easter {we must get better about taking family pictures!!}...

Happy Easter

I finally took Caroline to see the Easter bunny today! Her picture turned out so cute. She was even smiling!! She was very intrigued by her big hands, bowtie, and the gold buttons on her vest.

Breakfast Playdate

One of my favorite restaurants, La Madeleine, has finally come to Tulsa. They haven't officially had their grand opening yet, but we were able to eat there this morning before the crowds. It is absolutely delicious! We met Ashley and Henry there on Friday only to find that they weren't open yet, so we met them again this morning. Caroline and Henry were able to play a little bit while Ashley and I ate our quiche and fruit tarts! Here are some pictures from our breakfast...

Waitin' on Henry...
Still waitin'...

There he is!! {and a snapshot of the delicious Quiche Florentine}

They sale their tomato basil soup, so I bought some for dinner tonight along with grilled cheese on my mother in law's homemade sourdough bread.

And just a funny picture from our walk this evening, Max got a little tired so he decided to hop on for a ride.
And yes, he really will ride like this. {He is spoiled, just a little bit!}
