This little girl has had a hard time sleeping all night. She has been pretty much a perfect sleeper her whole life, but lately waking up in the middle of the night has been very common. We finally told her that if she would sleep all night she could have a sucker for breakfast, and it worked on the second night of bribery. Haha

Duck Jerky

Stephen's new hobby during duck season this year.... I'm still undecided on how I feel about this taking place in my kitchen, but I thought I better document it. Ha!

Aunt Ashley's Christmas gifts were a hit this year. Caroline wants to wear the rainboots with anything. Rain or shine. And she loves playing with mommy's headband.

I'm wanting to add more pictures in our home, so I decided to make a photo wreath of my Instagram pictures. I'm loving how it turned out.
Aunt Ashley got Caroline a Citrus Lane subscription. Her first box came, and she loves all the goodies.

Weekend Trip to Tulsa

Caroline and I made our first trip to Tulsa this weekend since we moved in October 2012. I can't believe I have waited this long to go! Stephen was going hunting, so I thought we needed a girls weekend. We left Friday at nap time as I was planning for her to nap in the car. And of course, the plan didn't work out. Ha! Our first stop once we arrived into Tulsa was where I used to work, Blessings International. I loved working there, and I loved going back to visit. After that, we needed to waste a little time before dinner, so we went to Buy Buy Baby. I didn't need anything, but I love that store and miss it so much! We did purchase some sunglasses and a horse purse. We went to dinner to one of our favorite Tulsa restaurants, Red Rock Canyon Grill with our friends, Brian and Kara. My mouth waters just thinking about it! Caroline and I stayed with our good friends, Branden and Summer. They have a little boy that is exactly a week younger than Caroline. I'm so glad we were able to spend some time with them and for the kids to get to play. We took the kiddos to the aquarium on Saturday and just spent time hanging out. We had so much fun that I am sure we will not wait this long to visit! I'm thinking a zoo trip if spring ever comes this year =))

Crock-Pot Chicken

This recipe came out of a cookbook from my former women's ministry director at our church in Tulsa. I know that I will be cooking this a lot!! It was so delicious and not to mention - super easy!!

Crock-Pot Chicken

Ingredients:
4-5 chicken breasts, raw
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can milk {use soup can to measure}
8 oz. cream cheese
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in Crock-Pot and cook on high for 4-5 hours. The cream cheese will melt down and mix in. Chicken will fall apart when forked. Serve over bow-tie pasta {or in my case, elbow noodles}.

Happy New Year!!

I can't believe we are beginning a new year! We were so blessed in 2013, and I can't wait to see 2014! I know it will be an exciting year with exciting things happening. Just tonight, I can't believe that Caroline will be three this year. It just doesn't seem real! I was questioning it in my mind tonight- I thought she was turning two this year and then it dawned on me that she IS two and that she WILL BE three!!!  Also, I can't believe Stephen and I will celebrate out fifth wedding anniversary! I know we just celebrated number four a little over a month ago, but 2014 will make it five years! Time flies when you are having fun. I just look back and think of all the blessings that have been placed in our lives. All I can think is that we are so undeserving, but thankfully, we have a God that loves and provides for us!

For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Here's to a wonderful year!!
