FRIDAY FAVORITES

Today, I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for some Friday favorites...

ONE

Caroline sang in her last preschool church choir program on Sunday. I can't believe these three will be going to kindergarten next year!!

TWO

Capri Suns have become one of Will's favorite afternoon treat, and this picture shows you how he feels when they are empty. Haha!

THREE

He also loves him some bubbles. Not sure what is cuter-- him saying "bubbles" or him actually blowing the bubbles. =))

FOUR

Man-- these Facebook memories kill me! But being their mommy is definitely a favorite!

FIVE

Will loves going to the farm as much as Caroline does. This week he got to pet the mini's and the barn kitty.

EASTER WEEKEND RECAP

We had a wonderful Easter weekend despite just moving into a new house and not being settled or unpacked.

When you move, you discover all the random food hidden in the fridge and freezer. So when we moved, I found loads of popsicles and capri suns. They have become regular afternoon treats since the move and this little boy is loving it!

Hunting Easter eggs with Caroline. She hid them and then showed him where they all were. =))

Saturday afternoon we celebrated with my side of the family at my parents house...

HAPPY EASTER!

You came down, from heaven's throne
This earth You formed, was not Your home
A love like this, the world had never known
A crown of thorns, to mock your name
Forgiveness fell upon Your face
A love like this, the world had never known

On the altar of our praise
Let there be no higher name
Jesus Son of God
You laid down Your perfect life
You are the sacrifice
Jesus Son of God
You are Jesus Son of God

You took our sin
You bore our shame
You rose to life
You defeated the grave
A love like this, the world has never known

Be lifted higher
Than all You've overcome
Your name be louder
Than any other song
There is no power
That can come against Your love
The cross was enough
The cross was enough

The cross was enough
The cross was enough

WHATS FOR DINNER? | STEAK BITES

Easy Steak Bites

Ingredients:
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup olive oil
juice of one lemon
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning (basil, rosemary, thyme, etc)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1½ pounds top sirloin steak, cut into one inch cubes

Directions:
In a large ziploc bag, combine soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, Italian seasoning, and pepper.  Slosh it around to combine.  Add beef and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours to overnight.
Heat a large skillet over high heat.  Add steak pieces one by one (don’t just dump it all out or there will be too much liquid).  Discard remaining marinade.  Cook over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes.  Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

**recipe from here**

This recipe was so easy and good! Both of my kids approved of it. Caroline loves steak, so I'm glad to have found a simple, weeknight meal for her. I served it with mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, and green beans! Perfect for when you need a quick meal.

MY BOY

This boy rocked my world. Before I was pregnant and right after we got pregnant, I really wanted another girl. I wanted Caroline to have a sister. I had it all planned out, I wanted another girl so we could name her Charlotte. Well let's just say God's plan was way better than mine. I cannot imagine my life or our family without this little boy. He is growing up to fast, but he gets more fun by the day! God knew Caroline needed this little brother more than she needed a sister, and I am so thankful! He brings the funny to our family-- he keeps me laughing literally all day long. He is talking so much now! He has a special name for his sister, and it just melts my heart. We aren't really sure what he is saying. It sounds like Cakka. It might be his version of sister or he might be trying to say Caroline-- whatever it is, it is his word and it is adorable! He loves his Daddy and always wants to drive his truck. He loves wearing his boots and hat like Daddy, and it just makes my heart smile! I love you Will T, and I am so thankful God chose YOU for our family!

WEEKEND RECAP

Friday was Stephen's 33rd birthday, we celebrated by going out to dinner and then we had cake and ice cream.
On Saturday, we decided to have a family day. Caroline has been begging for us to take her to the children's museum, so we went! Both kids loved it; however, I think Stephen might have loved it as much as the kids. The engineer in him kept saying this place is so neat. =) We got there earlier enough that we were able to make a reservation for the hershey lab. It was so much fun, and Caroline was at a perfect age for the experiment.  We finished the day by cleaning out the attic, and grilling out at our friend's house. Sunday was a lazy day at home after church. Such a fun few days with the people I love most!
