Wordless Wednesday

Pretending

Caroline is changing and learning so much lately! Recently, she has really started "pretending", and it is so cute! The other night she was acting like she was brushing my hair, and she loved it! My mom has this silver keychain and for some reason Caroline must think it is an earring. So today, she kept trying to put it on her ear, and she would bring it to me to put on her ear. We did this over and over and over. Then, she kept trying to put it on my ear. It was adorable. We are loving this stage right now; it is so much fun!

Family Razorback Game

Today, we had our family Razorback game. Even though we lost, it was still a lot of fun with everyone! It was great finally welcoming the LSU Tigers to Fayetteville. I am so glad that this game was moved to Fayetteville rather than Little Rock. Stephen's whole side of the family are LSU fans considering his dad is a graduate of there and born and raised in Baton Rouge. Thank goodness, my sister in law and I are both Arkansas fans! I actually remembered to take my camera to the game, so here are a bunch of pictures...

Playdate

Last week before I dropped Caroline off with Oma and Opa, we had a playdate with Rebekah and Cole. Of course, Cole just watched, but the girls had a lot of fun! At one point, Rebekah said, "Caroline is quiet today." I guess she hasn't figured out that she can't talk yet. =)

Thanksgiving 2012

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

We had great day of food and family, and it was so nice actually being in Arkansas {and at the house where Thanksgiving was hosted} so we didn't have to travel anywhere. =) It was so good to have Caroline back at home after being with her grandparents for two days! One of the favorite dishes at our Thanksgiving meal is the Sweet Potato Casserole that my grandmother makes. However, this year she wasn't able to cook, so I made the dish. Here is the recipe if you want to try it out...

Sweet Potato Casserole
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2/3 cup raisins
2/3 cup coconut
Mix all together and put in a greased 9x13 dish.

Topping:
1/2 cup butter chopped up {not melted}
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
Mix together and sprinkle on top of casserole

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30minutes
At about five minutes remaining, sprinkle marshmellow to cover the top and cook until marshmellows start to brown.

Blowing Kisses

Love this little girl so much!

Pretty sure you can't deny who she looks like =)

November 21

This is the day that Stephen and I celebrate our third anniversary this year. Caroline has spent the past couple days with Stephen's parents, so we enjoyed a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris. It is one of our favorite places, and it is normally our place of choice when we are celebrating an occasion. I can't believe it has already been three years since we said "I do". It's crazy to think that it has almost been four years since Stephen surprised me in New York City to propose, and even crazier that we have been together for seven years total. We are thankful and we are blessed. Here are some pictures for memories sake...

Yesterday afternoon while getting ready for our anniversary date,  I received the awful news that one of my best friend's brother was killed in a cycling accident.  This is such a tragedy for this sweet family and everyone that had the honor to know Andrew. Mandi looked up to her brother in so many ways; he even had the honor of officiating Mandi's wedding in August to Josh. Andrew lived such a Godly life, and I know he is singing with Jesus in eternity. Please pray for this family today and in the days ahead. Our pastor tweeted last night, "There is NOTHING like the church of Jesus Christ." How true it is.

Mother's Day Out Pictures

A couple weeks ago Caroline had "school" pictures. However, I didn't know they were doing them, so she got to have them taken twice. One in an "unprepared" outfit, and then Thursday was a "prepared" outfit. =). I'm so glad she got to have pictures done this year because when she first started going to MDO it was in January. So these are her first "official" school pictures.

Fun Lately

A couple weekends ago, Caroline was invited Adeline's third birthday. It was at The Little Gym, and it was the perfect spot for a party. Even though Caroline was a little young for some of the activities, she still had a blast! She loved walking on the balance beam and the big blow-up. I think most of all she just loved watching the older kids! She even sat and ate at the table with the big kids. We had so much fun, and Caroline was WORN OUT by the end of the evening. Here are some pictures of our fun little evening...

And here are some other pictures from the past couple weeks...
