BIRTHDAYS

March is a busy month for birthdays in our family! One evening, we drove down to Alma to meet Aunt Carol and Nana for dinner to celebrate both their birthdays. Stephen's birthday is the 31st and we were out of town, but I left a cake and icing for the kids to make him a cake with Oma for when we got back. The kids had a blast making his cake, and he loved it. 

CRYSTAL BRIDGES

Since we technically celebrated spring break a week before it started, we were able to be home and enjoy no school! One day, we went up to Crystal Bridges and walked on the trail. They were having art classes for the kids so they made some play doh art. It was nice to be outside and enjoy the warm weather!

SPRING BREAK 2019

We had a wonderful "pre" spring break trip. We actually left town the Wednesday before and got back Monday of spring break, so we had a nice break at home! It was glorious! This year we went to Park City/Deer Valley. It was a lot of fun. We have only been skiing in Colorado before, and there are pros and cons to this place. Overall, it was very easy to get to and the altitude was wonderful compared to Breckenridge. The kids had great ski instructors. Bottom line is for this trip... Will might have been just a little bit too young but it also could have something to do with the lessons being in the afternoons. He loved it and is ready to go again. Caroline on the other hand could live her life at the beach rather than the slopes. Haha! She doesn't love skiing, but she is good at it. Slow and steady is her pace. I keep telling her one day she will be glad she didn't give up! I don't think there is anything much cuter than kids in ski gear, and the mountains make for some good pictures! Cheers to spring break 2019! 

1ST BASKETBALL SEASON

Well we just wrapped up Caroline's first basketball season- which also happens to be her first team sport activity. She had a lot of fun, and we were impressed! That was a little out of her comfort zone, but you would have never known it. Sister knew when she got the ball to take it to goal and shoot. Haha! I hope she wants to play again next year! 

WILL'S ART SHOW

Will had his "art show" at school. He was so proud of it and couldn't wait to show us his work!

GOLD CHAIN

Thank you La Huerta for the gold chain. He was quite attached to it for a few days because it looked like what a baseball player wears. 

BRACES!!

After a visit to the dentist last fall, we were referred to the orthodontist. We went in November for a consult, but we were waiting on her to lose one more baby tooth and then it was time to pull the trigger for braces. The tooth fell out in January, and she finally got her braces! She got an expander in the roof of her mouth and braces on the top and bottom. The top were needed because she doesn't have enough room for two teeth to come in. We went ahead and did the bottom braces too for now. She will wear these for about a year and then she will get a second set when she is around 12 or 13. Here's to hoping she doesn't have too much pain.

BOOK CHARACTER DAY

We were junie b. jones for book character day. Momma was happy it wasn't too complicated of an outfit. Ha!
