Snow Day Fun

Well, we had another snow day, and I'm not even sure which number it is now that we've had so many. We actually stayed home all day which never really happens around our house. The day involved some crafts, a morning bath, and then Henry came over to make homemade pizza for lunch. We had a fun day of just staying in our pajamas inside our cozy house then Daddy came home to take Caroline out to play in the snow. For the girl who hated the Florida sand, I cannot believe she likes snow!!!!

Sweet Cousins

I took Caroline to see Rebekah, Cole, and Abigail on our way to Oma and Opa's house. It was her first time to meet Abigail, and she loved her! She loves her cousins and had so much fun playing dress-up with Rebekah! The dress-up clothes were a little small. Ha!

Mexico Part II

Joe Dirt was at the resort. Ha! This guy {and his doll} and the group he was with met eleven years ago while on vacation and have been vacationing together ever since. They have been coming to this specific resort for the past five years over Superbowl weekend.

Day Three: Waiting to go to dinner at Il Pescatore. It was located in the "sister" resort right across the street. It was Italian cuisine, and it was my favorite meal of the trip. The Lasagna was wonderful! I could have eaten it for every meal!

After dinner, we walked into town to some shopping area. The prices weren't any better than here in the states, but it definitely worth seeing the style difference!!

Our last night, we ended up going back to Asiana, so the guys could have some steak. Their spring rolls were pretty good too! We might have ordered eight orders of them on the last night. Ha!

{This might be my new favorite picture of Stephen and me}

This is Louisa - she worked in the Coffee House at night. She was so sweet!

We had such a wonderful trip, and I am so thankful we were able to take this vacation with our friends. I cannot wait to go back - I would start planning today if my husband would let me. =))

Mexico Part I

Stephen and I just got home from a trip to Mexico with two of our couple friends. Oh, what I would do to go back to that 80 degree weather right this second!! We had so much fun!! Our trip was pretty uneventful in that we laid out everyday and just enjoyed the weather. This was the first "real" trip since our honeymoon over four years ago. It was so nice to get away, and it was so much fun going on vacation with friends! I'm ready to plan another trip! Since we didn't do too much, all my pictures are pretty much of us or a group picture.

Arriving in Mexico in our long sleeves and long pants. It didn't take us long to shed that winter attire!

Cute little lady at the airport with her drink cart

So thankful that I was able to spend time with my sweet friends and their hubbies

Obama was in Mexico - HAHAHAHA - The champagne started flowing as soon as we stepped foot on the resort property

Check-in time!

We stayed at The Royal Playa del Carmen - It was very nice, and the food and service was wonderful! It felt secluded but it was right in town which was nice. We took a walk one night after dinner and felt completely safe.

The Lobby

Our view from our room

We were put in a room with double beds, so they just put them together for a super-sized king =)

We exchanged the winter clothes and headed for appetizers at the Tapas restaurant

Day Two: Headed to dinner at Maria Marie. It was a French/Mexican Cuisine. I had a shrimp entree and it was delicious!

Sweet friends!!

The lady at the Coffee House was able to make me one of my favorite drinks, a Brandy Alexander. It was sooo good!!

My view everyday - Ahh paradise!
